I really like Maddie Fitzpatrick in The Suite Life of Zack in the Disney Channel Original Series which was played by Ashley Tisdale. Like many actresses, she was discovered by a talent scout when she was 3 years old in a mall. From there she made more than 100 commercials and landed roles in the “Les Miserables” and “Annie”.

Ashely Tisdale is now widely known for her role as Sharplay Evans. This time she is playing bad girl that every one hates her in the “High School Musical 2.” She is having a breakthrough in the High School Musical which is very huge.

Her beauty and voice are her main assets. Ashley’s solo album “Headstrong” debuted at No. 5 in February. All her city National Tours were sold out in the “High School Musical: The Concert”. You can read more on her in the Ashley Tisdale fansite.

Here is the scene from the season premier of Desperate housewives that aired Sunday on ABC. Teri Hatcher’s character, Susan, goes in for a medical checkup and is shocked when the doctor suggests she may be going through menopause.

“Listen, Susan, I know for a lot of women the word ‘menopause’ has negative connotations. You hear ‘aging,’ ‘brittle bones,’ ‘loss of sexual desire,’ “the gynecologist tells her.

“OK, before we go any further, can I check these diplomas? Just to make sure they aren’t, like, from some med school in the Philippines?” Susan fires back.

This makes Filipinos angry and offended. There are lots of Filipino doctors working in US hospitals and I believe they all excelled in their jobs. Filipinos are demanding an apology

Here’s the apology issued Thursday

“The producers of Desperate Housewives and ABC Studios offer our sincere apologies for any offense caused by the brief reference in the season premiere. There was no intent to disparage the integrity of any aspect of the medical community in the Philippines,” the network’s statement said.

“As leaders in broadcast diversity, we are committed to presenting sensitive and respectful images of all communities featured in our programs.”

Is the apology enough?

The sensational American Idol Carrie Underwood has visited Tony Romo in a Dallas game last year.
