Helio Castroneves won “Dancing with the Stars,” but has lost his fiancée, Aliette Vazquez. Less than 24 hours after Castroneves, was declared the winner, Vazquez announced she had called off her engagement to Helio.

“There’s been a lot of rumors and a lot of stuff said, and she just wanted confirmed that they are no longer engaged. There’s no animosity, there’s nothing mean. Just a simple confirmation,” Vazquez’s publicist, Howard Bragman said.

Fashion Icon Twiggy finished her role as a judge of America’s Next Top Model, after five seasons in the series. She was forced to pull out because of scheduling conflicts. She’s been a visitor judge since Cycle 5 when she stepped in for Janice Dickinson. The other judges are Tyra Banks, and Nigel Barker Miss J. Alexander.

Paulina Porizkova replaces Twiggy on the show, which is fronted by model Tyra Banks. She’ll begin her critiquing duties for the 10th cycle of the show.

“It will look so good between my two Indy 500 trophies,” he said. Later he admitted he was “shocked” by the victory: “I was not expecting it. Mel, she’s an incredible dancer.”

Both finalists received perfect scores of 30 from the judges in their final dances Tuesday.

I like Dancing with the Stars and I was routing for Melanie Brown eversince the start. Though I am disappointed, I am still happy.

While Indy driver Helio Castroneves takes home the Dancing With the Stars Season 5 prize, runner-up Melanie Brown still has reason to celebrate.

“I feel like I’ve accomplished a huge thing in my life — juggling motherhood, Spice Girls concert rehearsals and this,” said Brown, also known as Scary Spice. “My new goal now is kicking off a great Spice Girls concert tour. I want Maks (dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy) at every one. He’s coming to Vegas and New York and hopefully others.”

After nine weeks of competition viewers of Dancing with the Stars have chosen the finalist. Last Tuesday night, Jennie Garth and her pro partner Derek Hough were eliminated even though they did a great job throughout the competition.
