Randy Moss is back with the Patriots

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

Tom Brady to Randy Moss… We often heard that in the last season. We may hear that in the next 3 years as Moss decided to go back with the Patriots

Randy Moss’ return to the New England Patriots was no sure thing, made evident by the fact the Philadelphia Eagles somehow slipped into the negotiating picture during the past weekend.
But Tim DiPiero, Moss’ agent, said in The Boston Globe there were “certain intangibles” that pushed matters in the Patriots’ favor.

“Oftentimes, when people judge whether a contract is a success, they look at how much it’s worth. But there is more to life than just pure money,” DiPiero said, according to The Globe. “In this case, Randy experienced some intangibles during the year, from his friendships, to his relationship with the coaching staff and others in the organization. Those intangibles had some value here.”

Brett Favre retires

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

At last, this time Brett Favre has made the right decision!

Wearing a brand new No. 4 Packers jersey, Dave Ellis sat at Curly’s Pub at Lambeau Field and watched the sports shows on TV detail the great career _ and sudden retirement _ of Brett Favre.

Ellis had purchased the $75 Favre jersey just minutes earlier to honor the Packers’ retiring quarterback, who called it quits Tuesday after 16 seasons with Green Bay.

“You got to pay the man his respect,” said Ellis, a somber look across his face. “Nobody will ever replace him. The athlete that he is. I think he is the best of all time.”

Where is Randy Moss going?

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

I love Randy Moss to stay with the Patriots and to be with Tom Brady forever.

With no deal close with the New England Patriots, Randy Moss continues to explore all options in his first professional exposure to free agency.

On Saturday night, he came up with an interesting idea. He reached out to Daunte Culpepper, his former quarterback with the Minnesota Vikings. The two former teammates discussed the possibility of finishing what they started in Minnesota on any NFL team interested, sources told ESPN.com.

Although their relationship ended a little rocky when Moss left the Vikings to go to the Raiders in a trade, Moss and Culpepper stayed in touch with each other and stayed friends. They joked that at some point they might be free agents at the same time and might have a chance to reunite. As Moss spent his second day in unrestricted free agency Saturday, he started to think about Culpepper, who also is a free agent. What they had talked about for years all of a sudden was true.
